Welcome to my Stitching Idyllic web site; I am delighted that you have come to visit.

I am a stitcher by choice having retired from a long life as a rehabilitation therapist. Hand embroidery was where I started as a young child and continued as a teenager at the Royal School of Needlework. It is back to a first love and expression of innate creativity.

This started with an (electronic) ebook, Spring Flowers, which sold well. Summer Flowers was the next ebook and it has sold well, too. Looking at my first writings and computer abilities, I realized that I had learned a lot and that the presentation of Spring Flowers did not meet the standards of the second book.

A rewrite created Spring Flowers 2nd edition. It has been expanded to include lesser known flowers and a more detailed section on developing and planning your own garden. Included are extra ideas on how to use the flowers. As in the first edition, only four basic stitches are used.

Summer Flowers uses photo printed fabric as backgrounds. The flowers use more of the basic stitches that we all know. Silk Flower Conversion is new for everyone including me. It is easy and introduced for you to explore and enjoy. Funtasy Flowers is also new to us all.

Both books include a section called Come Stitch With Me. The process of stitching the front covers is described and photographed at each stage of its development.

The complete titles of these books are
Hand Stitch Recognizable Spring Flowers and Hand Stitch Recognizable Summer Flowers.

The original version of Spring Flowers is discontinued.
